Prof. Ranjit Biswas

M.Tech. CSE(IIT), PhD (CSE)

Prof. Ranjit Biswas did his M.Tech.(Computer Science & Engineering) fom IIT, Kharagpur and Ph.D.(Computer Engineering) from Jadavpur University, Calcutta. He has produced eight(8) Ph.D.s in computer science; He has guided a large number of M.Tech./MS Projects in IIT and in other universities. He has published more that 100 papers in reputed international journals of USA/UK/Europe in ten different areas of computer science. He is an official Member in the “Editorial Board” of a number of international journals in Computer Science published from USA/UK/Europe viz. "INFORMATION - AN INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL", “INFOCOMP JOURNAL OF COMPUTER SCIENCE”, “EUROPEAN JOURNAL OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH”, “IAENG INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF COMPUTER SCIENCE”, “ADVANCES IN COMPUTER SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY”, “JOURNAL OF COMPUTATIONAL INTELLIGENCE IN BIOINFORMATICS”, “INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF COMPUTATIONAL INTELLIGENCE”, “INFORMATION SYSTEMS SECURITY : AN INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL”, “EURO-ASIAN JOURNAL OF APPLIED SCIENCE”, “EUROPEAN JOURNAL OF TECHNOLOGY AND ADVANCED ENGINEERING RESEARCH”, "ASIAN JOURNAL OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY", "NIFS - AN INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL", “INFORMATICA” etc.etc. Besides that, Prof. Biswas is also working in a number of national (Indian) journals. He has 25 years teaching experience starting his career in the year 1981 as a Lecturer in Calcutta University. He has also taught in IIT, in Jamia Hamdard University, in Tripura University, in IGNOU, in Philadelphia University and in Amman-Arab University. At present he is working as a Professor (and HOD) in the Dept of CSE & IT in Institute of Technology & Management, Gurgaon. Prof. Biswas worked in a number of IEEE, ACM and other important International Conferences held in USA/UK/Europe as a Member in the Working Committees. He reviews manuscripts on behalf of a large number of international journals.
