Mr. Gian Chandra

B.E. (ELECTRICAL), IIT ROORKEE

Mr. Gian Chandra joined the Institute following his retirement as Additional General Manager at BHEL. During his employment with BHEL, he served at a number of senior positions including, Head, D.C. Machines Design and Head, Design Development of Traction Machines. Besides publishing several papers in a number of leading national and international journals, he has also served on deputation at AEI U.K. and at WEAN United, U.S.A. During his deputation, he was responsible for technical negotiations in securing orders for Auxiliary DC mill motors for steel plants. Whilst his special interest lies in the area of machines and related technology, Mr.Gian Chandra is responsible for the establishment and development of courses and laboratories related to Electro-technology, Electrical measurement and measuring instruments, Electro- mechanical energy conversion and Electrical work shop. He is also co- coordinating the Electrical Labs at the Institute.
