Programs, Workshops & Special Events

Captains of Industry and other senior representatives from the government, manufacturing and service sectors are regularly invited to talk to our students and enlighten them on the role of engineers in a dynamic and rapidly changing economic order. Through these special lectures, students also learn about internships and job opportunities. Additionally, workshops in resume writing, interview skills, personality development and job search techniques are offered throughout the year.

Recruitment & Internships

Gaining career related experiences through summer internships during college is extremely important, both in helping students make career decisions and in providing students with marketable experience. To this end, summer placements for students are arranged.

Information sessions conducted by recruiting organizations are held at the Institute. Whilst these sessions are often open to all students as they are a great way to learn about a particular industry, recruitment programs are available only to the graduating students.

Placement for industrial training and final placement of our students is a matter of priority at ITM. Some of the organizations that have participated in campus placements and provided summer internships to our students are listed below :

Institutional projects, Research & Consultancy

Although the Institute's upper most priority, at least in the formative years is the development of infrastructure and commensurate support systems for undergraduate teaching, it encourages research, development and interaction with industry in selective areas, primarily through off-campus research.

Typically the Institute has implemented a consultancy to evaluate the execution of a project of the United Nations development Program, in the area of VLSI Design, at the Department of Electronics, Government of India.
